Los Angeles, CA - [June 14, 2006] - The Children's Hospital of Orange County, the premier source for pediatric health care, has awarded the storage solution contract to McMurray Stern, the exclusive Los Angeles and Orange County area contractor for Spacesaver. Spacesaver's newly developed powered system Eclipse[TM] will centralize the HIM department for CHOC. This solution is in symmetry with the center's goal of achieving national recognition as a premier children's hospital.
Founded in 1964, CHOC's main mission to nurture, advance and protect the health and well-being of children has continued to excel the medical organization, ranking CHOC as one of the top children's hospitals nationwide. Establishing multiple outstanding institutes within the hospital, each institute focuses on the management and treatment of infants, children, and teenagers manifesting hope for families seeking a chance of life. Known for being the first hospital to use many new progressive treatments, they invariably keep their mission in sight by having each institute assist patients in getting the treatment they require with the latest technological developments in the medical industry.
The challenge of meeting CHOC's storage needs was met by utilizing the new powered Eclipse system. As McMurray Stern Director of Marketing Leslie McDonald stated, "This system uses menu-based configurability which makes it easier for our clients to build the system they need by selecting features and options on an 'a la carte' basis."
The additional structural railings installed in CHOC's powered system provide greater structural support for the 36,174 lineal filing inches currently in use as well as for future files. "Eclipse permits future additions to the powered system allowing it to evolve with business needs." Users are able to add additional storage space to the system as well as security and safety features. McMurray Stern is proud to have the opportunity to work with CHOC on such a special project.
